Understand how rules-based signals support applications, Discover, and feed results, and why people remain responsible for every hiring decision.
What the score does
WorkWay Connect may display compatibility scores or explanations in Discover, feeds, and application views. Discover and feed indicators use rules-based product signals. When automated processing succeeds, a new job application receives a rules-based compatibility score after submission. No displayed indicator guarantees fit, qualification, an interview, an offer, or employment.
Job applications
Submitting an application records the job, available Candidate profile details, and an optional note to the Company’s hiring team. After submission, the rules-based calculation may use the Candidate’s headline and location; the job’s required skills, location, and remote policy; whether a resume or introduction video is present; and whether the Candidate watched the job’s video on their device before applying, including how many times and approximately how much of it was seen. The Company can see that watch signal on the application. It does not analyze video frames or audio. Companies should review the application and Candidate profile directly.
Discover and feed ordering
Discover and feed ordering use separate formulas. The signals vary by account role and product surface. They may include profile role and summary text, culture preferences, location, remote or availability status, search terms, selected filters, qualification settings, stored baseline scores, and local interaction history such as saves, likes, messages, pipeline actions, hides, and how long you watched a video (finishing a video gently raises similar profiles; skipping it within a few seconds gently lowers them). Watch history is behavioural and is stored on your device.
Current scoring code does not analyze video frames or audio, physical-cue filters are disabled, and physical-cue indicators (such as eye contact, posture, or body language) are not displayed or used in ranking. No protected-characteristic field is intentionally used as a scoring input.
Human review is required
Companies remain responsible for reviewing relevant application materials, providing required notices, offering legally required accommodations or alternatives, and making lawful hiring decisions. A Company must not use a WorkWay Connect score as the sole basis for an employment decision.
Accuracy and correction
Scores depend on information supplied by Candidates and Companies and may be incomplete or wrong. Users can edit relevant profile or job information. Contact WorkWay Connect to report a suspected scoring error or request information about a displayed score.
Employer compliance
Employers and employment agencies must determine whether their use of any automated tool triggers bias-audit, notice, accessibility, recordkeeping, or other obligations in a particular jurisdiction. WorkWay Connect does not represent that a compatibility score satisfies those obligations.
