Data Retention
Learn how WorkWay Connect retains and deletes account and service data.
| Record | Standard handling |
|---|---|
| Active account, profile, videos, resumes, jobs, applications, and messages | Generally retained while the account or feature is active. Records covered by the deletion service are removed when deletion succeeds, subject to the exceptions below. |
| Successful in-app account deletion | The authentication account and records covered by the deletion service are removed when the request succeeds. |
| Verified external deletion request | Handled by support after required account verification. |
| Provider-controlled data and backups | Handled through the provider's operational deletion and backup cycles. |
| Security, authentication, and abuse-prevention records | Retained while reasonably needed for security, investigation, dispute, or legal purposes. |
| Reports, blocks, moderation, and enforcement records | Retained while reasonably needed to protect users, identify repeat abuse, resolve appeals, or meet legal obligations. |
| Payment, tax, and transaction records | Retained as required for accounting, tax, payment, dispute, anti-fraud, or legal purposes. |
Exceptions
A record may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for an unresolved dispute, chargeback, safety investigation, litigation hold, legal obligation, or enforcement of the Terms. Data may be retained in de-identified or aggregated form when it no longer reasonably identifies a person.
Deletion
See Delete Your Account for the in-app and external deletion paths. App Store, Google Play, and other provider-controlled purchase and transaction records are also governed by the relevant payment provider.
